A Family Approach to Memorials
For more than sixty years, the Bradley family name has been associated with care and personal service in Gainsborough, Saxilby and the surrounding area. Cliff Bradley Memorials brings that experience into a dedicated memorial business, with its own showroom and a team focused on helping families choose, personalise and care for a lasting tribute. We are independent, locally based and available to every family, regardless of which funeral director arranged the funeral.
At our Trinity Street showroom in Gainsborough, Lucy and Rhianne take time to understand what you have in mind, whether you're beginning with a particular stone, a photograph or simply a few words. Our showroom staff and memorial fitters work together on the design, permissions, preparation and installation. With a BRAMM-licensed memorial fitter within the team, the work is completed to current standards while you retain a familiar point of contact throughout.
Memorials and Products
Choosing a memorial is personal, and it often helps to begin by looking at the different forms and materials available. Our ranges include headstones, kerbsets, cremation memorials, children’s designs and memorial vases, alongside stones already held in stock. If you would rather shape the design yourself, our Stone Customiser lets you explore the options before requesting a quotation. Whichever route you choose, our team will help you bring the details together.
Memorial Headstones
Choose from traditional and contemporary memorial headstones in granite, marble and natural stone, with shapes, colours and finishes suited to cemetery and churchyard settings. We will help you consider the inscription area, any carved details and the rules of the burial ground before the design is agreed.
Build a Memorial Stone
Use our Stone Customiser to bring together the shape, material, colour, inscription and decorative details you have in mind. Work through the available choices at your own pace, then send the completed specification to our team so we can review it and prepare a quotation for your made-to-order memorial.
Memorial Kerbsets
Memorial kerbsets frame the full grave with matching stonework and can be finished with chippings, a cover slab or space for planting. Our range brings the headstone, surround and flower vases together, with designs available for different styles of inscription and levels of ongoing care.
Cremation Memorials
Cremation memorials offer a lasting place for words, flowers and remembrance where ashes have been laid to rest. The range includes plaques, tablets, small headstones and vase designs in several materials and colours, with options suitable for cemeteries, churchyards and gardens of remembrance.
Childrens Memorials
Children's memorials can be shaped around the details a family holds close, from a favourite character or illustration to a familiar phrase or carefully chosen inscription. Our range includes heart, angel and teddy designs in different colours, with scope to make each tribute feel personal.
Memorial Vases
Memorial vases provide a dedicated place for flowers and may be chosen as a standalone tribute or to complement an existing headstone, kerbset or cremation memorial. Available in different shapes, stones and colours, they can also carry a short personal inscription or small decorative detail.
In Stock Memorials
Choose from memorial stones already held in stock and ready for inscription, including designs in different shapes, materials and colours. Many can be viewed at our Gainsborough showroom, offering a useful option when you would like to see the stone itself or require a quicker turnaround.
Memorial Services and Support
Choosing the stone is only one part of arranging and caring for a memorial. Our services include additional inscriptions, cleaning, renovation and refacing, together with additions that can complete the grave or create another place of remembrance. We also provide clear answers about ordering, permissions and fitting, while the experiences shared by local families offer an honest view of the care you can expect from Cliff Bradley Memorials.
Additional Memorial Inscriptions
An additional inscription can place another name, dates or dedication alongside the wording already on a family memorial. We will assess the available space, plan the new lettering around the existing design and discuss whether any renovation would help the old and new inscriptions sit comfortably together.
Memorial Renovations and Cleaning
Weather, surrounding trees and age can leave a memorial stained, uneven or in need of repair. We assess the material and condition before recommending suitable cleaning or renovation, which may include careful surface treatment, small repairs, levelling or refixing stonework that has moved.
Memorial Inscription Renovation
Faded paint, worn gold leaf and dirt within carved letters can make an inscription difficult to read. Inscription renovation refreshes the existing lettering while retaining its wording and arrangement. We will assess whether repainting, regilding or further work is the most suitable approach.
Memorial Refacing
Where lettering is badly worn, earlier additions feel unbalanced or there is too little room for another inscription, memorial refacing may provide a fresh surface. We will first assess whether the stone is suitable, quote, then prepare the complete new inscription for approval before any work begins.
Memorial Additions
Explore memorial chippings, ceramic flowers, photo plaques and benches that can be chosen alongside a new tribute or considered later. We will help you look at the available designs, consider their placement and upkeep, and check whether permission is needed for the chosen cemetery, churchyard or setting.
What Families Say
Read the experiences of families who have chosen Cliff Bradley Memorials for a new tribute or work to an existing stone. Their words reflect the time, care and personal service provided by our showroom team and memorial fitters, from the first conversation to installation. Please leave us a review if we've helped.
Frequently Asked
Our frequently asked questions explain how to order a memorial, expected timescales, payment plans, burial-ground permissions, guarantees and installation. They provide a useful starting point whenever you want a straightforward answer, while our team remains available if you would rather discuss.
In Stock Memorials
Choosing from our in-stock range means you can see the memorial itself, consider its proportions, material and colour, and begin thinking about the inscription without waiting for the stone to be made to order. Our changing collection includes headstones in different shapes and finishes, with many displayed at our Gainsborough showroom and others held in stock ready for preparation.
Once you've found a design that feels suitable, we will help you settle the wording, lettering style and any decorative details before preparing a layout for your approval. We will also check the requirements of the cemetery or churchyard and arrange the necessary permission. As the stone is already available, the memorial can generally be completed and fitted quicker, subject to approval and current workshop schedules.
